David Burgos was born in Caracas, Venezuela on January 6th, 1979. David traveled to the United States in 1981 where he lived in New Orleans, La until the age of 7 in which he traveled back to Venezuela. There David began taking percussion lesson as well as the beginnings of music theory. After 2yrs David traveled back to the U.S. and moved to Miami, FL. There David attended Nautilus Middle School and under the direction of Raymundo Modia began playing the trumpet at the age of 13. He continued his musical ambitions when he attended Miami Beach Senior High. David excelled in music all throughout the County and State wining numerous superior awards for solos and ensemble for both regional and state levels, chorus, marching band, wind ensemble, rock ensemble, jazz band, all-county principal chairs as well as all-state awards. David continued his studies at Miami-Dade Community College where he attended numerous European jazz festivals such as: The North Sea Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival, and Lucca Jazz Festival. David attended Florida Atlantic University and currently works all over South Florida with his numerous musical projects.
